A Case of Identity- Year 10 Forensic Science Workshops October 2010

Year 10 were invited to the crime scene of a murder victim to assist a CSI officer in solving the mystery of ‘Who murdered Sally?’ Various forensic techniques were used including indentification of fingerprints and shoe prints, analysing blood types, measuring the refractive index of glass, fibre analysis and DNA profiling.

Pupils had to fit all the evidence together to suggest who they thought the murderer was.

This workshop also underlined the importance of always telling the truth  and gave our pupils the opportunity to work with Year 10 pupils from Ballymoney High School and Our Lady of Lourdes School, Ballymoney.
