Silver Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions

Thirty six Year 12 pupils completed their Silver Duke of Edinburgh training Expedition from Friday 26th April to Sunday 28th April. The pupils had orgininally been scheduled to carry out this training over the Easter holidays, however the snow and extreme walking conditions in the Mourne Mountains meant the pupils had to wait until late April to complete their training. Pupils gained experience of map reading, navigating, compass work and camp craft – all of the pupils are now prepared to complete their Assessed Expedition later in the year.

Well done to all pupils involved!
