AS Spanish
Students study AQA AS Spanish.
Topics studied are:
- Media – television/advertising/communicative technologies.
- Everyday culture – cinema/music/healthy lifestyle/holidays.
- Family and Relationships – family/friendships/marriage and partnerships.
Pupils do a Speaking test with their teacher (30% of AS grade) and complete a Listening, Reading and Writing paper (70% of AS grade).
All students attend conversation class with the Foreign Language Assistant.

A Level Spanish
Students study AQA A2 Spanish.
Topics studied are :
- Environment – pollution/energy/protecting the planet.
- Multicultural society – immigration/integration/racism.
- Social issues – Wealth & Poverty, public order, impact of scientific and technological advances.
- Cultural topic – either a play or novel in the target language plus the study of a region (Cataluña).
Pupils do a Speaking test with their teacher (15% of A2 grade) and complete a Listening, Reading and Writing paper (35% of A2 grade).
All students attend conversation class with the Foreign Language Assistant.
