With not being able to run our usual tour for Open Day we have produced a video showcasing some of the activities that a pupil can experience and all of the subject areas they will cover during their time at Dalriada. You can either watch all of the 90 minute Youtube video or you can open up the information section opposite the title (small arrow head) and select any of the individual listed sections to view. The footage is a mixture of events from previous academic years and also the current. It also shows a mixture of activities that would be pre COVID and others under current COVID restrictions.
At the beginning of the Headmaster’s address there is an important slide that reflects the most recent updated Admissions Criteria for Dalriada, published this week.
With not being able to hold events in the JAH, we have put together a presentation for Year 11 Parents. The presentation sets out the principles and strategies relating to GCSE study, how assessment is structured over Year 11 and 12 and also information relating to entry criteria to our sixth form. The presentation is approximately 35 minutes in length and if there any questions relating to it, you can either contact me at school by phone or send me an e mail to email@example.com. To access the presentation please use the link below.
Head of Year 11.
Due to current restrictions and the limited capacity of our hall at this time, unfortunately, we have been unable to run our usual Information sessions for the parents of Sixth form pupils. These induction sessions would have highlighted a number of key areas in relation to life in the sixth form, our expectations, assessment, examinations, work experience, and preparation for UCAS application. There are separate presentations with commentary for Year 13 and Year 14.
You can access them by opening the respective links below.
With us unable at this time to run our annual P6 Information Evening, we have created a presentation with explanations in a 20 minute video. It contains the details around how to go about applying and how the AQE exam process next academic year will work. Please find below a link to the presentation.
As we mark the end of our academic year in very unusual circumstances, the Headmaster and staff have got together to wish everyone well and wish all our pupils a good summer. We look forward to seeing everyone again in August, ready to tackle our new school year. Have a good summer everyone and keep safe. Enjoy our short video by hitting the link below. When asked for a password you need to use your C2K log in details.
The Kukri Shop is now open for the ordering of P.E. kit. On resumption of school next term, pupils will be taking part in P.E. as timetabled all within the confines of the COVID-19 regulations. We await further guidance from both the Department of Education and the relevant sporting bodies in relation to the type of activities and levels of training we can safely run. In addition we will be informed about best practice in the use of changing facilities, procedures for maintaining safe distancing and the regular cleaning and sanitising of equipment. It will be probable that on days when your son or daughter is timetabled for P.E. they will wear their kit to school with most importantly their track suit top and bottoms. Further clarification of this to follow.
The On-Line shop will remain open until 11PM on the Thursday 25th June and can be accessed by clicking the Kukri shop picture below on the right hand side.
